CHALLENGE

The curved wall of doors at the rear of the house presented a challenge that was easily met by Jones Joinery’s skilled craftsmen.

Their objective was to manufacture bifold doors in harmony with the fluid lines of the design, opening up the spacious back living area and allowing it to spill outside while minimising any clear demarcation lines between inside and out.

SOLUTION

Jones Joinery custom made all the doors and windows for this project to the designer’s exact specifications, including the curved bifold doors, front door and windows, using Papua New Guinea rosewood.

The impressive curved wall of bifold doors measure 6.5 metres wide and 3 metres in height and were manufactured in a 4×3 configuration. The doors seamlessly integrate the outdoor entertaining area with the vast open plan living space, overlooking the pool and oriental garden.

The natural tones of the wood and organic shapes create a harmonious environment, effortlessly blending indoor and outdoor living spaces.
