Range of styles

La Cantina Doors also custom make windows in whatever style and configuration you require, including:

• bifold—can be used with the bifold door for a total entertainment area solution, or as a servery.
• sliding—run on metal tracks, similar to sliding doors.
• casement—hinged along the side & opens from the opposite side; fitted with high quality hardware to provide smooth, easy opening & closing and easy ventilation. Can be manufactured in single or double.
• awning—hinged along the top & opens from the bottom; fitted with high quality hardware to provide smooth, easy opening & closing and easy ventilation.
• sashless double-hung—modern version of the traditional double-hung window; features two moving panes of counterbalanced glass and unobstructed views.
• double-hung weights & cords—traditional vertical sliding window; uses a set of counterweights in the frame to offset the weight of the sash.
• spiral balance double-hung—a modern version of the traditional double-hung window.

Materials

We use only the best quality materials to ensure years of reliability and durability.

Timber frames are constructed from select grade wood, which is dried and seasoned to our specifications. All our wood comes from sustainably managed forests and includes kiln dried Victorian ash, WA jarrah, flooded gum, spotted gum, western red cedar and Greenpeace certified rosewood from Papua New Guinea.

All casement, awnings and sliding windows are weather sealed with Aqua Seal.

Hardware

We use quality Truth hardware to ensure smooth, easy operation and long-lasting durability. For specific window needs, we use:

• Encore axil winding system, where the handle folds in (casement & awning)
• Brass pulleys (double-hung weights & cords)
• Unique Balance [Gainsborough?] (spiral balance double-hung).

Glass

You can control how much of the outside you let in by the type of glass you choose. We can tailor the glass for your doors and windows to your exact needs and specifications from a vast array of choices, including:

• Clear laminated (standard 6.38mm)
• ComfortPlusTM (6.38mm)—provides thermal insulation and solar control, reducing UV as well as noise; grade A safety glass.
• Low-e energy efficient —low emissivity glass with higher levels of solar control and thermal insulation; 99.9% UV protected.
• Acoustic (6.76mm)
• Double-glazed  —provides insulation (doesn’t reduce noise).
• Argon-filled double-glazed —argon gas increases insulation properties.
• Sound-proof (10.38mm)—reduces noise.
